I've been looking for a meaning In life and in all things Used to assume our will is free It felt so clear to me But I finally realized I just fed myself lies I had to wipe out the bullshit Piling up on my eyes I'm done believing that someday we'll understand I'm done trusting everything makes sense in the end We're all deaf and blind to the true motion of our days So use your fucking brain for a change One predetermined, unique path But the wrong way to think A stupid cognitive bias Making us idiotic Oh, thank you, Jesus Christ You left a legacy Constraining our thought model was your idea, but... I'm done believing that someday we'll understand I'm done trusting everything makes sense in the end It will be too late once your cold, lifeless body lays So use your fucking brain for a change We may not control anything Over the course of this great causal chain But I refuse to say it means Making any choice would only be vain Second-guess what you hear Deconstruct what you fear Don't let your mind be filled with fairy tales of yesteryear A prison in your head A so-called masterplan A dogma of delusional conformity

We're blindfolded Absent-minded Taken aback Amnesiac We've been lead to believe This is the only way To be, to our utter dismay Deprived of liberty Drawing lines in the dirt When we could meet and make our voice be heard We need to awaken And see through the glass Are we gonna let them Rip us off our life Or take it back? Above us all So-called control You won't listen Can't understand But you're frozen in time For you, the end is nigh It's far too late to compromise We'll lead you to believe Our way's the only way We'll live to see another day We need to arise from These cradles of sloth Concealing our freedom To boundaries we've outgrown We need to awaken And see through the glass We're not gonna let you Rip us off our life We'll take it back

Dumbstruck When you plunged your gaze into me From your mouth, the river ran free Bringing rain onto dried out land Breaking through the dam But your tail is tied up And you're trapped in the flames Of that private hell of your own Hope is decaying Every night, you're dining In Pandemonium Always swimming against the tide To the risk of being left behind They turn a blind eye Always casting yourself ashore Or letting them drag you down to the seafloor And once again... Dumbstruck When you poured your heart out to me A rush of electricity Through my nerves, stretching out my hand Crashing down Like a wave A glistening, cooling aura A mesmerizing mantra I'm listening to intently And suddenly, everything lightens Diving to the heavens Floating away In a pas de deux Dancing in the lunar mare Otherworldly Words are empty But I looked back Like I'm Granny The ocean go down the drain Sturm und drang underway The bubble burst off Paradise lost The moon breaks in half Echoing a dark laugh Phobos and Deimos pierce The night for the apocalypse The sky is ablaze The sun burning with rage With no salvaging chain to pull Stroked to dizziness All alone with your head Spinning out of control I didn't tip the scales in time To anchor but not weigh on your mind Undying undine I'll pray for you to leave the shore Of Inferno and surface from this abyss Not left to drown anymore

Screaming like your back's against the wall Tripping yourself up to fall Victim to this crippling immaturity Screening out any intelligence Impaling yourself on the fence Lulled into a false sense of security But there's a flower blooming Off the top of an unmarked grave A sapling rising from scorched earth Spring will come to make everything anew Time will go onward You'd better get in on it too Shy eyes, always run into the ground Shooting high-angle, earthbound Sheltering from your own reflection in theirs White lies to the others, to yourself To remain upon the shelf Trying hard not to see you're trapped in a maze But there's a flower blooming Off the top of an unmarked grave A sapling rising from scorched earth Spring is here, making everything anew Time to quit biting the helping hand Grab it and let it pull you through You can't control those dreadful odds Finding yourself at a crossroads Searching for a way to egress A work in progress On the learning path to let go Of your avarice, your ego Hell is other people, but only if you make them so Power yourself but don't be blind You're a part of the gestalt mind Let there be light to thrust the trust from inside out Alone and empty Feeling let down, left out Afraid and angry Expecting both too much and not enough Life is but a game You have to play to win Caring's the hard mode But it's easier cooperating It's less scarring The server's running, I'm logged on I'm waiting for players to join
